Our Team
Chad Bryson is an accomplished fly fishing guide with more than three decades of guide experience. He began his guide career at a young age in southern Appalachia and it's foothills. From there he traveled to guide in the Florida Keys, to the Rocky Mountain West, Bristol Bay Alaska as well as Patagonia Chile and Argentina. Now in his "retirement from travel guiding," Chad brings a worldly knowledge to his guide trips on the Etowah River making them truly original. His shore lunches aren't too shabby either.
Chrystal Campbell grew up on horseback working in the family business as a back country hunting outfitter in Montana. Her summers were spent giving riding lessons to tourists and taking her children fly fishing in some of the most fabled waters of Southwest Montana. During fall she worked as a camp hand for her parents hunting outfit. Leading a pack string of horses up and down the switchbacks for clients, supplies and the occasional town visit consumed most of her fall days at Sheep Creek Outfitters. All while raising two children and living in a wall tent on the side of the mountain. These days, she does all the logistics for Etowah Valley Anglers and keeps Chad organized daily. On occasion, she will row a drift boat for the right person....
Our Services
We offer fully guided fly fishing and light tackle fishing trips for anglers of all skill levels. Our primary home river is the Etowah. However, occasionally we will suggest fishing a different location due to conditions or the migration of striped bass. The Etowah is a magnificent river with numerous Native American fish weirs, bald eagles and of course, one of the most reliable runs of migratory striped bass in Georgia.
Every Etowah Valley Anglers full day guide trip includes a gourmet shore lunch of street tacos, fly and spin rods, flies, and tackle. All you need is a valid Georgia fishing license, sunglasses and rain gear if necessary.
